Molasses Sugar Cookies
(Henschel)
    3/4 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup molasses
    1 egg
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    2 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon cloves
    1/2 teaspoon ginger
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream butter and sugar together. Add molasses and egg. Beat well.

Mix dry ingredients together. Add to sugar mixture. Chill for one hour.

Roll into spoon sized balls, dip into a dish with sugar and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 8 minutes at 375°. Do not overcook!
